The DEWALT Cable Crimping Tool (DCE300M2) is an excellent tool for crimping cables up to 750 McM Cu / 750 Al. The tool is built with the professional electrician in mind, but it's also suitable for DIYers. The 12-ton crimping force allows for UL classified crimps with compatible connectors from leading manufacturers. With its U-Type die compatibility, you can use die brands from all manufacturers. The tool has a forward and reverse trigger switch for convenient one-handed operation. It also has an onboard intelligence system integrated into the tool called Crimp Connect software. This system provides detailed reports of date, time, force, and successfully completed cycles of the crimps completed by the tool. Crimp Connect software also reports on tool calibration and service history. The onboard diagnostics let you know if the battery needs to be charged, and Crimp Connect software will provide a report on the battery's life. As an additional safety feature, the tool's LED interface communicates whether the tool is on or off, the battery state of charge, cycle completion, and if recalibration or service is needed. The bright LED light will illuminate the crimping area when working in dark spaces. The tool also includes attachment points and a shoulder strap for convenience when transporting around the job site.
