Makita XCV25ZUX Review

The Makita XCV25ZUX is a cordless dust extractor/vacuum designed for collecting dry dust. With its Makita-built brushless motor, the vacuum delivers up to 74 CFM and 44" water lift of suction using two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries. It has a three-stage HEPA filtration system that captures 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns and larger. The filter cleaning system is designed to maintain optimal suction efficiency and longer filter life. The auto-start wireless system (AWS) utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication between tool and dust extractor. The vacuum comes equipped with two anti-static hoses that measure 1-1/2" x 8' and 1" x 11-1/2', respectively. The XCV25ZUX can run up to 100 minutes on normal setting and 42 minutes on high setting using two 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah batteries. It also has a large rubber bumper to prevent damage and a locking cover to protect the batteries from dust and debris. The motor chamber is constructed with sound-absorbing materials, providing a quiet operation even on high setting. The rear casters have locking levers to prevent the vacuum from moving. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
