DEWALT 20V MAX* XR Drywall Screw Gun Collated Magazine Accessory Review

The DCF6201 Cordless Collated Magazine Attachment is designed to make drywall installation easier than ever before. This screw gun accessory features a tool-free screw length adjustment button with a 1-inch to 2-inch capacity and disassembly release button for occasional blow-out/cleaning. The screw length detent marks and screwdrive depth gauge enable maximum precision, and the magazine attachment release buttons allow easy removal. The collated screw strip guide ensures consistency in the screw drive, making it easy to install screws in a straight line without dropping them.On the downside, the DEWALT drywall screw gun only comes with Phillips head bits. As such, if you want to use collated screws that require a #2 square bit, you have to grind a bit shaft down before use. Also, this attachment only allows for bits with around 4mm-wide shafts, and most 3rd party bits have 5 or 6mm-wide shafts. Overall, DEWALT seems to have done a pretty decent job, providing anyone who requires precision with a reliable tool.
