With a proprietary cryogenic hardening process that improves traditional heat treat methods, the Milwaukee Ice Hardened hole saw has a much longer life than other hole saws on the market. Unlike other coatings that wear away with use, cryogenics harden to the core by minimizing soft metal and creating more hard metal. This results in a more reliable product that stays durable throughout its lifetime. This hole saw also features Matrix II bi-metal construction and a unique precision-ground tooth geometry that makes for fast cutting, with deeper gullets quickly removing chips. Further, the positive rake angle cuts more aggressively, while the radiused back face lowers stress on the teeth. The functional slot geometry even allows for a standard slotted screwdriver to fit completely underneath the plug for easier plug removal.
