Made in China, the Makita 193073-1 Router Straight Guide features a semicircular opening in the fence face, measuring 1 5/8" in diameter. With 9 1/2" long rods, the maximum distance between fence edge and bit center is about 7 1/2" when used with RF1101. The guide face has holes in it to add a longer wooden fence board for increased stability. It's great for edge routing pieces with bits that don't have guide bushings, as well as for routing details like grooves and dados parallel to the workpiece edge. While no screws are included to attach the guide rods to the router base, it's a well-built and solid piece of equipment.
