The DEWALT DW7082 Vertical Clamp is specifically designed for the DW703, DW706, and DW708 miter saws. It features a quick release button for easy adjustment and a rubber clamp head cover for maximum grip. The clamp adds safety and precision to your job with its firm clamping pressure. It's straightforward to use, not flimsy, and well worth the money. The clamp fits perfectly in the oversize hole in your miter saw and reaches over the oversize fence on your miter saw as well. One of the main advantages is the quick take-up button that saves a lot of time screwing the threaded rod to tighten the clamp. The good size knob allows you to manipulate it wearing gloves. The clamp is more heavy duty than the stock clamp that comes with the saw and is great for setting up blocks. However, some buyers wish it was more affordable. There is little option but to buy this one unless you return the saw or give up and pay the ridiculous price. Originally, the purchase price was $80, but it should cost more like $40. The downside is that DW7082 material hold down clamp will now become your primary clamp though, and the one that came with the saw will only be used when you think two clamps are necessary. If you're looking for a clamp to keep your fingers free from harm and hold your work solidly to the base of your miter saw, the DEWALT DW7082 Vertical Clamp is an excellent choice.
